Oh Idaho--how we love thee! There's a reason that our great state is one of the fastest growing in the entire nation year after year.

What makes it so special? Our weather, our access to the outdoors, or our ability to live at a pace slower than most places? We'd have to say yes to all of the above, and more.

As Idaho grows, is more money coming into the state? Yes...yes it is.

A new study has named one Idaho city that is NOT Boise OR Sun Valley the 'Richest in Idaho' and its population doesn't even hit 35,000 people!

Any guesses at which Idaho town is the 'richest' in the state? It isn't Sun Valley, either!

The results are in and apparently, Eagle is doing real well these days!

Does the answer surprise you?

Put together by Stacker based off of 5-year data from the Census Bureau, it seems that Eagle, Idaho is doing quite well.

The findings outline some interesting stats:

  • Median income is over $114,271
  • Household earnings are over $200,000
  • The unemployment rate is only 1.5%

Some of these, to locals, come as no shock. Who can afford to live in Eagle if they're out of work? It's a beautiful area--but it isn't cheap.
