The Crowbar in the basement of Grainey's is about to close to bring the "party back to Boise". This new replacement will likely draw even more people in.

In 2015, the basement of Tom Grainey's turned into an EDM club called Crowbar. I've got some memories in that place. The coolest people converge in the famous basement.

If you like the Crowbar and are an EDM type of person, get your partying in before April. This year at Treefort, there will be multiple EDM performances at the Crowbar and those shows will go on. Starting in April, though, something new is coming to town.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Tom Grainey's basement (109 S. 6th Street) will no longer be the Crowbar. The owner, Jason Kovac says, "We're getting back to our roots and bringing the party back to Boise."

Starting in April, Top 40 music (like what you hear on 103.5 KISS FM) will be heard from Grainey's basement and live musicians, DJs and hip hop acts will be booked for the yet-to-be-named venue. EDM is not dead, though, friends. There will be special nights reserved especially for the EDM crowd.
