Too Soon? 2015’s Most Offensive Halloween Costume

When the Ebola Containment Suit costume hit the market last year, I didn't think there could be a tackier Halloween costume.  Is this costume the most offensive of the year?

Anytimecostumes.com has posted the "Call Me Caitlyn" for this year's Halloween season.  The costume includes white shorts, a padded corset, wig and pageant sash so that you can portray Caitlyn Jenner's debut on the cover of Vanity Fair.

In the item description, the retailer says "You probably won't break any Twitter records when you wear this outfit like Caitlyn did when she first made her account, but you'll sure to get a few laughs out of your friends and other guests at the get together."

Normally, I'd try to be good humored about a tacky Halloween costume, but this one is just downright insensitive.  If you've watched any of "I Am Cait" on E! and heard the stories of other transgender women who did not come from a privileged background like Caitlyn, you know that this is just perpetuating stereotypes and struggles of the trans community.  It's NOT good natured when you show a man wearing the costume and list the costume under the "humorous" category...

...but that's just my opinion.  I'm still waiting for my "Sexy Left Shark" costume.
