Train Surprises Idaho Fans With Unexpected 'Storm Shelter' Show

We often talk about 'concert season' here in Boise-- and we're still very much in that magical season where tons of bands and tours are rolling through town each week.

Unfortunately, our days of 'tons' of concerts are limited. As the weather cools off and school is back in session, there are going to be less and less shows-- particularly at the Ford Idaho Center.

While the indoor venue is still an option, the spacious and summer-friendly amphitheater isn't operable all year long. One of the last shows for 2025 outdoors at the Idaho Center was the highly anticipated Train show--and they didn't disappoint.

Already anticipated as a great show, that Idaho weather kicked in and displaced fans for a bit. The Idaho Center allowed some fans indoors to take shelter while it passed over the venue and those that weren't yet in were asked to stay in their cars.

While inside of the Idaho Center waiting-fans were totally surprised by none-other than Train themselves--who put on a fun little acoustic set for the eager crowd! So cool and SO Idaho.

It's AWESOME that Train went the extra mile for their fans that were hoping the show wouldn't be canceled! Clearly, they understood that concerts cost people money--and take time to plan for. They had no intention of doing anything less than offering a great time and a great show for their Idaho fans!

Just because the Train concert is over doesn't mean that the fun for 2025 and live music is over--take a look at what's coming for the rest of the year!
