Kenzi Delmas, a senior at Timberline High School won Kendall Ford of Meridian’s Just Drive for Education. The event honored 158 area high school seniors for their academic and community excellence. The “Just Drive” pledge focuses on avoiding distracted driving. Kenzi says, “I took the pledge because I think that that text or that snapchat can wait, and it’s more important to protect your life and everyone else’s than to respond," said Kenzi. She has a new car to drive to college in the fall.

Starting today, police all across Idaho will be watching for you to wear your seatbelt. This is a campaign running through May 30th. State law requires all vehicle occupants to be properly restrained, no matter where they are seated. Fines for violating this law range from $10 to $69.
