Why Are Fake ‘Million Dollar Bills’ Appearing on Boise Cars?
Downtown Boise is a really lovely place. It doesn't matter what time of day or frankly, what day of the week--it seems there's something fun and positive going on in our streets. Whether it's a bustling row of patios on 8th or a crowded club night at Hannah's-- we have it all.
Boise's downtown is also very clean; which is so unique. Our local leaders do an amazing job of keeping streets clean and crime to a minimum!
Lately, while parking in downtown Boise--we've found flyers on our vehicles. It's something that in our experience (and we go downtown a lot) is rare in Boise.
Have you seen these things flying around downtown Boise lately?
So you wander downtown Boise-- you enjoy a meal, a drink, or shop at a local business. You return to your car and there's something on your dash. Oh no! A parking ticket!?
No--it's just some cash. Now you're wondering; why did someone leave me this? Did they hit my car and run?
Plot twist--it's counterfeit. In fact, it isn't money at all...it's a flyer. Dang--annoying.
The back of this fake 'Million Dollar Bill' is all about heaven and hell--it asks the reader where they'll be going when they die. It also references Jesus (a first century Jewish-preacher--believed by Christians to be the son of God) and clarifies that it is not a fairytale!

Let us know if you have encountered these slips too--and are you as annoyed as we are? They're accumulating in our passenger seats!
