I couldn't even handle my boyfriend putting a fly he killed in our apartment in my face let alone having to eat it!

While I prefer to spend my time at the Botanical Garden enjoying a concert like "I Love the 90s" or looking at Christmas lights, some people actually wait all year for Bug Day!

This year the family is invited out to play games like bug bingo, take part in the Insect Olympics, do bug crafts, find their own live bugs and have entomologists (they're the foremost authority in everything bug) identify them right in front of you.

But do you know what the highlight of the day is?  Edible insects! The bug day menu includes chocolate covered scorpions, superworms and other treats infused with bug ingredients.

Bug Day takes place from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th.  It's $4 for Botanical Garden Members, $8 for non-member adults and $4 for kids ages 5-12.
