I just wanted to take a moment to show my love and appreciation to Boise for being the magnificent gem that it is. This morning as I got ready for a ride on the green belt, sheer panic washed over me as I saw my bike lock sitting on the counter. Oh no. My bike. I felt a sinking feeling... I had forgotten to lock it up, and my gut told me it was definitely long gone by now. However, that was not the case! I rushed out to my bike only to find it perched on its stand unassumingly, untouched. I breathed a sigh of relief. Now, I know I can't do this every day and expect no one to ever come along and try to score something for free. And my heart definitely goes out to anyone that may not have been as lucky as I was today. But the beauty about Boise is that it's not uncommon for people to generally still be... well, good. It's the thing I love most about this city. Did I mention as I was going through the Starbucks drive-through last week they were doing the whole "pay it forward" movement, and someone actually bought my iced coffee?! It truly made my day. So thank you Boise, and to anyone reading this. Thank you for being such a great place to live, and I'm proud to be here!
