Surely you've heard the Corey Heart song "Sunglasses At Night" with lyrics like;

"I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Watch you weave then breathe your story lines
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes"

Now researcher are saying, it might not be a bad idea to actually wear your sunglasses at night, at least while you're trying to sleep.  Wearing sunglasses before bed can block blue light from electronic devices, like phones, tablets and computers.  Blue light can be disruptive to sleeping patterns.

From the Yahoo news story, teenagers who use devices an hour  before bed, were 3x less likely to get less sleep, sometimes less than 5 hours. This leads to constant tiredness, fatigue and irritability.  Researchers discovered blocking blue light from devices as well as what they call "device abstinence, resulted in earlier sleep times and reduction in sleep loss symptoms for a controlled group of subjects.

It might be time to bust out those blue blockers from back in the day and put them on before you crash at night.  In case you've forgotten what blue blockers were...

Basically our smart devices are melting our brains and we need to put them down at least an hour before bed.  I know it's tough, because I sleep with my phone right next to me, but try it for a few days and see if your sleeping habits improve.
