Traveling across the country from Boise, Idaho is pretty easy! You've got plenty of options as far as destinations and airlines go.

Oh. What's that? An entire airline is pulling almost all of their travel destinations from Boise Airport? Well, that's mighty inconvenient.

Okay, so I'm supposed to fly out of Boise Airport this October. Can you get to the point?

Sure. Can do. Please stop yelling.

Spirit Airlines has announced that it plans to end service to a plethora of cities beginning in just a few weeks, starting in October. The cities that are getting removed from places Spirit will be flying to/from include:

  • Boise
  • Albuquerque
  • Portland
  • Chattanooga
  • San Diego
  • Sacramento
  • San Jose
  • and the list goes on...

As you can plainly see, if you had plans to fly Spirit out of Boise this October, you'll probably be making a few phone calls once you finish reading this article.

Some experts believe this could be a boon for bigger airlines, such as Delta and United, to snatch up some budget-flyers from Spirit now that they're no longer an option in so many U.S. cities.

Happy flying...?
