The pledge states that "Net Neutrality is the First Amendment of the internet and essential to everyone's right to connect and communicate online."

The pledge wraps up by urging the reader to "team up with other mayors" to "save the internet".

Net Neutrality is a big deal. The main argument is net neutrality prevents companies with more money to have the ability to pay for better internet than less-fortunate people can afford.

A large majority of the responses to the Mayor's tweet looked positive, most thanking and some even praising our Mayor for taking a stand.
