We often talk about safety in the Treasure Valley--not as an issue but as a blessing. Living here, for the most part, offers a very peaceful and safe environment for just about anyone. It's a safe place to raise a family and a safe place to "go out" without needing to be constantly looking over your shoulder.

When crime does happen, however, it stands out like a sore thumb. We just aren't used to seeing these types of things.

Over the last several weeks, we have been talking about Boise's serial robber--one with a peculiar walk, a creepy mask, and that had a $5,000 reward out for his arrest.

We can't imagine how scary it would be to have his guy walk into someone's late-night shift!

Crimes like this just don't happen in the Treasure Valley and it was about time that the suspect was arrested! 

It's with great excitement that now, the Boise Police Department can announce a suspect is in custody.

After being so popular behind a mask, the public is now seeing this alleged serial robber without the mask. 

Of course, it's important to note that the suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Officers, however, are confident that they got their guy.

Arrested for 5 Felony counts of robbery and one Felony court of ehancement with a deadly weapon, 51-year-old Acea Hood has been taken into custody and is being held without bail.
