City of Meridian Awarding Scholarships to Local Students

The City of Meridian has some cash and they're hoping that they can give it to you. Sound too good to be true? You've got to pay for that education somehow, kid!

If you're anything like me, you may know all too well about paying for that college education. It doesn't matter WHERE you go--it simply isn't cheap. From tuition to boarding, textbooks to simple living wages-- the life of a college student of any age just isn't always easy.

It's exciting to see local organizations, groups, and companies offering up scholarship money to LOCAL students! Here's to supporting and farming our own!

We get it, the last year has been difficult. As if students and their families needed any more reasons to struggle and make a college education work. I remember like it was yesterday, the challenge it was searching for every possible scholarship that I qualified for and then finding the time to APPLY for them. You aren't awarded all of them--but once you get a few under your belt you really realize how much they help. Every dollar goes a long way.

If you're a student that lives in Meridian, Idaho--there's a unique scholarship opportunity being offered to you from the City of Meridian itself.

Four scholarships of a $1,000 total each will be awarded to high school seniors that live in Meridian, Idaho, and plan to go on to college or vocational school in the fall of 2021.
