Anyone that knows me can tell you this: I'm the WORST about getting parking tickets. I'll forget to pay downtown, I'll pay and then stay too long, or better yet: I'll say "oh, I'll pay on the app" and then put in the wrong parking zone. If anyone from the City of Boise is reading this...PLEASE don't look up my parking record. It's not a pretty sight.

If you've ever been downtown Boise on a Friday or Saturday night, you already know just how crazy it can tend to get down there. Cars everywhere, Ubers swinging into corners for riders, and of course the token intoxicated folks that like to run through the streets. Sure, it isn't THAT un-orderly but it's certainly a little hectic.

Because of this, the City of Boise is testing out a pick up and drop off zone with hopes that it will increase safety and car congestion at prime times in downtown Boise's nightlife.

The zone is going to extend from the south side of Main Street between Capitol and it will go to South 6th Street. Think the stretch of Amsterdam and Hannah's. It will be active from 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Park there and you're getting a ticket...or a tow. Just plan to avoid both and park elsewhere..
