If there's a truck I see a lot of on the streets of the Treasure Valley, it's the Ford F-150. In fact, I'm willing to bet you know someone who has one.

If you or someone you know IS driving one of these around the Treasure Valley, you should know that Ford has issued a recall for the popular model of truck. Nationwide, this effects 2 million truck owners. This recall is nothing to joke about either--it's not just a knob falling off of your stereos...it's a seat belt defect that could cause the truck to catch fire.

Here's which F-150's this recall covers:

  • Truck made between 2015 and 2018
  • Manufacture date: March 12, 2014 through August 23rd, 2018 in Dearborn, Michigan
  • Manufacture date: August 20th, 2014 through August 28th 2018, in Kansas City, Kansas.

If your vehicle matches these descriptions, you'll need to take it into a certified Ford dealership as soon as possible. The repair is free, as well.
