Free Wi-Fi Coming to Downtown Boise
And everyone who's ever ran out of data mid-month yelled "AMEN!"
If you've strolled through Downtown Boise anytime in the last year, you know there's been some serious construction happening on the Grove Plaza. The project included replacing broken bricks and adding new personalized bricks to the walkway, replacing trees in failing health, adding more bike parking for those enjoying the plaza and replacing the popular foundation with a brand new interactive fountain with more programming and lighting options.
The project seems like it's taken forever, but Capital City Development Corporation is ready to unveil their labor of love to the public on June 7th! If you want to check it out, it kicks off the "Alive After Five" concert series. Acts for the evening include Ned Evett, Steve Fulton and Huckleberry Jam alums, The Shook Twins. The celebration runs from 4:15-8 p.m. that evening.
The celebration will also launch something HUGE! FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! According to our friend Don at Boise Dev, there will be a wireless cloud system in place that will allow up to 1,500 users to connect to free Wi-Fi at the same time! That means if you want to bring your laptop out to work under some of the new shady trees and umbrellas, stream 103.5 KISS FM on our new app while you enjoy the Grove or take zillions of Snapchats as you head from club to club downtown, you don't have to worry about data near The Grove!
