Over the weekend, news broke of a horrific accident on I-84 that sent one man to the hospital. Christian King sideswiped a semi, lost control of his vehicle and overturned off the highway. "Huck" his 3-year-old golden Labrador was riding in the cab of the pickup and was ejected as the vehicle overturned. Fortunately, though injured, Christian survived the crash but his loyal campaign Huck was never found. Sightings of Huck started to pour in, KTVB picked up the story and reported that Hucks family is frantically searching for their missing dog.

King’s family is looking for a dog that is missing from the scene of the crash. The three-year-old yellow Labrador is named “Huck,” and may have been injured after being thrown from the cab of the pickup, said Lindsey King, Christian King's daughter.

In the hopes of getting the word out, I also wrote about Huck and shared pictures on our Facebook page which as of this writing has gotten over 200 shares. But still no Huck.

Here's the thing. People have reported seeing Huck but he is understandably shaken and scared. Huck runs from anyone he happens to come across. I wrote previously about how this community comes together to help others in need. Now is that time.

Huck is home!

I'm happy to post that Huck has been found and is safe back at home. He was found early this morning on a porch in Columbia Village. His owner says he has a few scrapes bumps and bruises but he's happy and resting safely at his home.
