Idaho Falls Mother Sings to Passing Son

Never in my life do I want to know what this feels like. However, the parents of Hayden say that sharing a video of mom singing to the 3 year old in his final days helps them heal and lets them share their story. Because of that, I will share. 

Typically, I'm not one to share anything I can't watch on my own. I've attempted to make it through this video multiple times and try to understand how I would feel I was in the same position at this mother. I would want everyone to know and see the child I love so much.

With that, I will share.

Their story:

Kami and husband Jason Chapa found out they were expecting a baby while they were on vacation in Turks and Caicos. When Hayden was born, he had a condition called Microlissencephaly - similar to babies who were born to a mother infected with the Zika Virus. It was worse than that, according to the doctors. Hayden was born with a small head, no kneecaps and was facing other complications. The life expectancy: 4-10 years.

Last week, the Chapa family lost Hayden at just three years old.

They hope to set up a memorial to remember Hayden and also help families going through a similar situation.
