Idaho Humane Society Building New Facility

Animal lovers rejoice, the Idaho Humane Society is expanding and that's great news for all of the furry creatures that the society assists daily.

This massive care center is going to be located on Overland Road, kind of near Walmart. The facility is going to have expanded vet medical center space which means that capacity for providing medical services will be doubled. Not only does the society provide health care for animals in need that it may take in but they also provide animal health care to low income families--that will also be expanded because of this new facility.

Cat lovers like myself will be excited to hear that each cat will have a little door to go out into a "catio" -- an outdoor space for some fresh air.

The current facility near the Boise Airport will remain open. The new facility is expected to be open by May of this year.
