Have you ever heard of addition by subtraction? this is one of those things but when I saw this Wallet Hub study it made me feel like there is some light at the end of the tunnel for our home state. The bad news is that as the COVID-19 pandemic continues the amount of people that are losing their jobs is growing and is now over 22 million. The good news is that the WalletHub study released today shows Idaho to be one of the least affected this week. To identify which states’ workforces have been hurt most by COVID-19, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on increases in unemployment claims. We used this data to rank the most impacted states in both the latest week for which we have data (April 6) and overall since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis (March 16). Below, you can see highlights from the report.
