Let's just get this out of the way: Tesla Cybertrucks are ugly. This article isn't about those.

Ok, with that out of the way, if you do happen to own a Tesla, you're going to want to be up to date on their latest recall.

What vehicles are affected by the Tesla recall?

If you're the proud owner of a 2023 Tesla Model 3 or Model Y in the U.S., it's highly likely you're about to be in for a bad time.

This particular recall doesn't affect Cybertrucks, or 2022-and-older Tesla models.

Why are the vehicles being recalled?

2023 Tesla Model 3's and Model Y's are being recalled due to a faulty software release that could result in a loss of power steering assistance. We probably don't have to explain to you why that would be a very bad thing while you're driving.

What should I do if I own one?

First off, know that Telsa is already sending out software updates, so you may be in the clear and not even know it. If you want to be certain, you can click here to see if your vehicle (even if it's not a Tesla) has been recalled as of late.
