I could not make this up if I tried.  In fact, I did a double take when I read about it in the Idaho Statesmen. But it's the real deal and at one of it's original incarnations, it drew a crowd of 10,000 cat lovers.  The Internet Cat Video Film Festival is coming to Boise this Friday!

According to the Knitting Factory's website, it's not about watching cat videos, it's about watching cat videos...together (with booze, I added that part.)  The festival is a live event gathering of fellow feline fanatics watching a curated collection of cat clips in a social environment.  The reel features 85 cat videos over 75 minutes and includes everything from vine videos to short films and everything in between.  The creators want to get across that this reel is only to be seen in person and ironically enough isn't available online.  But here's a preview of what to expect...and by the way, yes "Keyboard Cat," partially made famous by Jimmy Kimmel, will be making a special appearance on Friday night.
