Internet Erupts as Former Boise State Star Scores NFL Touchdown

Here in the Treasure Valley, few things excite us like seeing the success of one of our own. Despite the insane amount of growth that we've seen, we're still very proud of this "small town" vibe. We're not short on stars these days-- from Kellen Moore to Aaron Paul, we have stars with Idaho ties that cover nearly all of the bases.

Just last night, on Sunday night football, one true Idahoans made headlines on the NFL stage!

Leighton Vander Esch, one of the greatest football players to ever represent Boise State University, has been a monster in the NFL. We've all been proud to see his success with the Dallas Cowboys and they certainly know what they have in him.

Being a defensive guy, scoring touchdowns isn't easy. Especially in the professional ranks. A big turnover last night while millions watched led to Vander Esch's very first professional touchdown and Boise's internet and social media platforms have erupted!

We have known here in Boise, for years, what Leighton Vander Esch is capable of and we're so glad to see him thriving at the next level! 

Anytime a Boise State alum takes things to the next level, Idaho is particularly proud. What makes Leighton so special in the eyes of Idahoans? This guy was born and raised right here in 'small town', Idaho--also known as Riggins!
