If the St. Lukes in Downtown Boise is a familiar facility you pass as you go to and from work during the week, you may want to be aware that delays along that route are now to be expected.

Today is day 1 of what is expected to be about an 8-month long construction process as St. Luke's Downtown expands. Detour signs, road closures, and temporary traffic signals will become a familiar sight around the hospital. Reserve Street, according to city officials, will be closed through October. First street, State Street, and Fort Street will all have traffic changes implemented for the time being.
