Our police have had their hands full this summer, haven't they? Officers have had to be on high alert during the "Deadliest 100 Days", the period of dangerous driving between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Amidst all of that, they still have to respond to dangerous and non-traffic crimes.

A Nationwide Manhunt Comes To An End In Caldwell

I can't imagine what it's like to "clock in" as a police officer for the day. You don't know what situations you could be walking into, and you never know when you'll be called upon to assist in a major investigation.

The latter is exactly what happened when Caldwell police were called to assist Arizona officers in an investigation regarding a felon on the run from police.

"The Caldwell Police Department, in cooperation with the Queen Creek Police Department (Arizona), arrested Darryl Kysar, a convicted felon wanted on a nationwide, no-bond warrant after fleeing from multiple Arizona law enforcement agencies last month," Caldwell police shared in a social media post.

According to police, the suspect had been on the run since May 13th after fleeing from police, leading them on a "lengthy pursuit."

Once the suspect escaped, police quickly began working to locate his whereabouts, which led them to Sun Creek Point RV Park in Caldwell.

"Caldwell Police quickly initiated surveillance and confirmed his presence at the RV park," Caldwell police said in a post to social media.

"After verifying key identifying information, officers developed a plan to safely take him into custody. On June 12, Caldwell Police personnel moved in and arrested Kysar without incident."

Caldwell Police Have Done It Again

Shout out to Caldwell police for bringing a felon on the run to justice. It's a scary thought to think the suspect was hanging amongst unknowing law-abiding citizens, but thankfully, our Caldwell police resolved the situation peacefully.
