Local Home Builder Gets National Award

I'm a firm believer that the energy we put out is the same energy we get back. The universe has an amazing way of creating balance in our lives and if you do right by others, good things tend to come your way. On the other side of the spectrum when you put out bad energy and all you do is try to bring others down to make yourself look better, sooner or later it all backfires on you. Today I'm excited to write about someone who has gone out of their way to give back. I love highlighting local businesses that are making a positive difference in our community.

A major salute goes out to The Berkeley Building Company which is based in Meridian. According to ktvb the Berkeley Building Company has been awarded the 2020 St. Jude Dream Home Builder of the year award. This was no easy win as they we're competing with 45 other companies nationwide. Fun fact about the Berkeley Building Company, this is the seventh year in a row that they've built St. Jude Dream home in Idaho.  Why is that big deal? Well, every year the St. Jude Dream home is raffled off to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The home that Berkeley built this past year has an estimated value of $549,000. 13,777 raffle tickets were sold and over $1.3 million dollars were raised.

There is a lot to be said about kharma and helping others but when those others are children, the blessings that come back to you are next level. Today we tip our hat to  everyone at the Berkeley Building Company.
