It's one of those stories that you just can't make up and seems a little too sad to be true. If you're a cat lover like I am, then this will definitely be tugging at your heart strings. A local cat shelter and adoption clinic in our own backyard--Nampa--could potentially be closing because of a roof that is in THAT bad of shape.

The roof has been leaking water but nobody knew that the shape of the roof was as bad as it actually is. The shelter, Canyon County Pet Haven, now faces a tough situation: fix the roof or close operation. This is hope to nearly 70 cats that would be stray or even euthanized if the shelter wasn't their home. Now, Canyon County Pet Haven is searching for some help.

The cost for the repair of the roof is $10,000 which is no light task and is far more than the shelter is able to come up with. This is where they're looking for help from the public. Donations are being accepted and if you're in the market for a new pet for you or your family--adopting one of these cats could certainly help, too!

I never thought I would be a cat person...plot twist: I adopted a kitten and now I'm a cat fanatic.  They're the best little companions!
