New Mormon Temple Prepares to Offer Tours
Having grown up as a Catholic, my faith and spirituality have always been important to me in my personal life. As I have grown older, those have evolved and developed in various ways, yet curiosities in other religions and faiths have always been extremely interesting to me. I credit my time at Bishop Kelly for that curiosity. A required course prior to graduation is one that explores other religions and requires you to experience them through attending services and more.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the most prominent religion not only in the state, but in the Treasure Valley as well, accounting for over 40% of residents in Boise. Because of the size of the local church, growth was necessary and soon, there will be installed in Meridian, a brand new Temple.
You may already know this, but if you don't belong to the church, you can't enter a temple. However for a limited time, the church will be offering tours and this could be a once in a lifetime chance to answer any curiosities or just admire the structural beauty of the building.
After three years of construction, you can now reserve your place for a tour of the new temple. They will be offered between Sunday, October 21st through Saturday, November 11th. These tours are open to the public.
