Pet Parents: It’s Your Day

It's an important day in the world of any pet owner--and that's because it's OUR day! I say OUR day because I, like perhaps you, am a proud pet parent and we too deserve a pat on the back for raising our fur babies to be strong, independent animals!

Had you told me years ago that I would be the dad of a cat--I probably would have called you crazy. Actually, I definitely would have called you crazy. I never had pets growing up and didn't really know what I was missing out on as I got older. That said, I never had much love for cats, either. I mean...they're funny on the internet--who doesn't love a good cat video? Enter a girlfriend with a cat and suddenly, I thought cats were pretty awesome. Fast forward a couple of years and I had adopted one of my own--a kitten that fit in the palm of my hand! Now, she's queen on the apartment-- it's her world, I just live in it!

I had no idea what could call for TODAY being National Pet Parent's Day but after some research I found it was actually created by a large pet insurance company who celebrates pet parents that take amazing care of their little creatures. I have pet insurance for my little feline--but certainly today is OUR day, insurance or not, pet parents!
