There are few things that shake this city more than Boise State Football. This coming fall, the expectations are high and the energy is bursting at the seams.

It's been a while since Boise State has been the "top underdog" in terms of non-power 5 conference teams and there seems to be one common theme among sports publications and writers...this is Boise State's year.

No, these are't polls coming out way too early-- it's spring practice time and the rosters across the country are set. Sports professionals really do see the potential in this Bronco's squad. A common compliment is experience. Boise State is returning a starting quarterback as well as starters from nearly every other position, too. That kind of experience sets the table well for a hungry Boise State team that ended last season on a high note after dominating the Oregon Ducks.

The USA Today ranks Boise State the highest, at #14 pre-season while Sporting News has them the lowest, at #25.

Only time will tell if this season could mean a major bowl game, or more: the College Football Playoff.
