The Recall Reckoning Continues: Fords Now Recalled In Idaho

If you live in Idaho, and drive a vehicle, you're going to have a bad time.

At least, that's how it feels in 2025 with back-to-back-to-back recalls continuing to plague the auto industry.

First, it was American-made electric vehicles.

Then, it was over 100,000 American made trucks.

Now, less than two weeks later, we're doing the vehicle recall dance again. Sorry.

Oh god. What vehicles are being recalled in Idaho THIS time?

Sorry, Ford Explorer enthusiasts. You're up.

Ford is currently recalling 24,655 Explorers with the 2.3-liter turbo four. The reason? A faulty powertrain control module that could mistakenly reset and cause issues. The recall only affects new 2025 models, luckily.

Crap. That's my car. What do I do?

Ford says they've already reached out to dealerships, informing them of this most recent recall. Owners should be notified via a letter in the mail by the end of May.

The good news is, your dealer will also inspect your Explorer's transmission, repairing any discovered damage free of charge!
