Let's take a look at the 7 teams that even MADE IT to the playoffs, first!
Seven of Idaho's Best Football Programs are in the Treasure Valley
Now, for the three that survived and advanced...
Game 1: Meridian vs. Rigby for 5A State Title
Meridian is the local favorite in this State Championship matchup. The Warriors have gone into the playoff season ranked among the best in the division and were able to skip the first round of games. Both games that Meridian won in the tournament, leading them to the title game, were against other, familiar Treasure Valley teams. Now the team will face an unfamiliar team in Rigby.
Game 2: Bishop Kelly vs. Skyline for 4A State Title
Skyline is the defending 4A state champion and they've back for more this fall. Who could stop them? Many are betting on the undefeated Bishop Kelly Knights who have sliced through the state tournament and really, the season, like butter. No team has come within two touchdowns of Bishop Kelly in the tournament and they shut out their first round opponent 70-0. Let's go, Knights!
Game 3: Homedale vs. Sugar-Salem for 3A State Title
The Homedale Trojans will be taking on Sugar-Salem. What is a Sugar-Salem? We're rooting for the Trojans to bring a trophy home to the Treasure Valley!
