Thunder Mountain Line Closes

I was SO bummed when I got the news alert that the historical railroad is canceling its operations.

Years ago a friend that moved to Boise about a year after me and I made a "Boise Bucket List" we wanted to conquer. Taking a train ride on the Thunder Mountain Line from Horseshoe Bend to Banks was on that list, but it looks like I'll never get the chance to experience it.

The train that hosted everything from weddings to murder mystery dinners to improv shows posted on its website yesterday that it was suspending its 2016 excursion operations.

The message from TML's vice president thanked its patrons and employees and gave a brief history of the train, but did not give a reason for its closure.  The full letter can be found HERE.
