It's Election Day and there are several key races and issues on the ballot across Ada and Canyon County.  Here's a brief glimpse of what you need to know as you head to cast your vote today!Polls are open from 8 AM to 8 PM. If you're not sure if you are registered to vote or if you're unsure exactly where your polling place is the state has put together a website where you can find the answers to those questions by clicking HERE.  You can also register at the polls on election day.

Make sure you have a valid form of identification with you.  Those include:

  • An Idaho driver's license or photo ID card
  • US passport or federal photo ID card
  • Tribal photo ID card
  • Current student photo ID from Idaho HS or post secondary education institution

In Idaho you must be 18 years old or older to vote and be a citizen of the US.  You also have to have lived in the state and county that you're voting in for at least 30 calendar days.

Key races today include city council in Boise, Eagle, Meridian and Kuna; mayor in Nampa and Caldwell and two bond issues (fire safety and open spaces) in Boise.
