What's factored in when determining which cities are healthiest? Wallethub compared more than 170 of the most populated cities in the US using '42 key indicators of good health', including cost of medical visits, fruit and vegetable consumption and fitness clubs per capita.

What we found out from this list? Boise has some work to do in the healthy department. We ranked number.. 36. Obviously 36 isn't near the bottom at 170.. but it's still not great. I will say that as a vegetarian, I've noticed a lack in raw, organic or vegetarian/vegan restaurant options.

With the influx of people moving here from California and Seattle (like me) I can see Boise getting a lot more restaurants and boutique gyms popping up to accommodate the growing population and demand for diversity and options.
