Coronavirus Causes Divorce

Have you ever been so sure that your reaction to a situation would be one thing and then find out that you we're completely wrong. I can't say for sure that I'm wrong but... a week before we all went into lock down due to the pandemic my relationship came to an end. Until today I've  thought to myself the quality time at home would of been great for my relationship apparently the data out China says otherwise. According to Bloomberg Coronavirus causes divorce!

"Although China publishes nationwide statistics on divorce only annually, media reports from various cities show uncouplings surged in March as husbands and wives began emerging from weeks of government-mandated lockdowns intended to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. Incidents of domestic violence also multiplied."

Shanghai divorce told Bloomberg lawyer Steve Li at Gentle & Trust Law Firm says his caseload has increased 25% since the city’s lockdown eased in mid-March.

His reasoning is that... “The more time they spent together, the more they hate each other, People need space. Not just for couples—this applies to everybody.”

If I'm reading this right, my relationship would of ended one way or another... The good news is that "Single doesn't mean alone and in a relationship doesn't mean happy". The bad news is that the US is months behind China so we might be in for a divorce pandemic.
