Fruitland Woman Ruled ‘Fit To Proceed’ in Missing Child Case
It has been well over a year since 5-year-old Fruitland boy, Michael Vaughan, has gone missing. The child was last seen playing around his home when his parents suddenly couldn't find him--the community immediately jumped into action and after weeks of searching, the outlook grew more and more suspicious.
In November of 2022, Sara Wondra was arrested and suddenly a glimpse of hope for closure in this case arose. She was then sent to have her mental health evaluated.
In newly shared information just released from Boise reporter Alexandra Duggan, Sara Wondra has been found fit to proceed in the legal system:
We have to applaud Duggan for constantly keeping the community informed on updates of this case and most importantly--keeping Michael Vaughan's name front and center in the public eye.
The public can't help but wonder--how thin is the line of guilt between knowing about Michael's death, and taking part in it? Let's be clear--Wondra has NOT been charged with murder or harm of Vaughan at this time--but investigators certainly had to believe she knows more information that they need.
We will continue to keep you updated on the case as more details will certainly emerge.
