Have Cashiers In Boise Become Too Flirty With Customers?
It's no big deal. You're checking out at the grocery store, or your favorite coffee place, and the person taking care of you says "Have a great day!" with a friendly wink. Or, was it more than just a friendly wink?
It may sound trivial, but it's become a hot topic that some chains are training their employees to actually flirt with customers. To build repeat business? Maybe to get their employees more tips? We're not sure, but this is an actual real thing people are talking about.
The CEO of Trader Joe's, Bryan Palbaum, directly addressed that rumor recently:
Compared to maybe perhaps other retailers, I could see how that might be misinterpreted.
You go through this world, and you run into so many people that aren't genuine, that aren't kind to you.
Well, that doesn't really answer the question of if they're trained to be flirty with you. We're not going to hold our breath waiting for an actual answer.
