In my house, it's Black Friday or bust when it comes to decking the halls for the Christmas season. But, I'm single and live alone and my cats aren't really fighting back on any decor arrangements, so it's easy for me to do it my way.

Some people decorate before it even hits Halloween. Keke has already put up his Christmas tree, and I think a lot of people are in the same boat. But some neighborhoods are having all out wars.

A Texas couple has been told to take down their Christmas decorations because it's "too early" for them, according to People.

Nick and Claudia Simonis decorated the outside of their home on November 1, putting up a display including a snowman, reindeer and a Santa Claus helicopter. Soon after, they received a notice requesting the decorations be removed because it was too early, but without a date when decorations would be acceptable. "I was angry, because there’s a reason why we're doing it," said Nick.

Claudia is eight months pregnant, and the couple figured they should get the decorating done before it was too difficult for her to help out. The couple says they aren't going to take down the decorations. In fact, they say they will add more. The homeowner's association that sent out the notice hasn't responded to requests for comments.

Sounds like an episode of Modern Family.
