Oktoberfest Events Kick Off October 1st – Get Ready to Drink in Boise
Is it October already? It seems like yesterday that we stood paralyzed at Facebook notification signs for the Boise River update to float. Fast forward and its costumes, pumpkins, and Oktoberfest brews. I'm a summer boy, but it only takes a few weeks for my Fall passion to kick into gear. Let's go!
This Oktoberfest event stands out because you're getting the best of both worlds with local wines and beers. Ste Chapelle Winery is hosting their Oktoberfest event on Sunday, October 1. So, how do you host a beer festival at a winery?
"That's a great question!" said Mary Sloyer retail manager and events coordinator for Ste Chapelle Winery. "We host live music, great food including some Oktoberfest favorites like Bangers and Mash for a nice German lunch at additional cost. Yes, we have our fine Ste Chapelle wines and we'll also be hosting a local favorite beer, Payette's Oktoberfest Marzen Lager. Mary also mentioned this is the "the last fling" before it gets cold outside. Ticket prices are $10 which includes some wine tasting and complimentary wine glass. If you don't get your tickets ahead of time it will jump a few dollars to $12 at the gate.
This looks like a great twist on Oktoberfest and something for everyone. Please tag us on Instagram @kissboise with your photos if you attend and tell us about it!
