An Actual SQUIRREL Caused That Boise Power Outage
Hey.
Did you lose power on Monday?
Yeah. There's a squirrel for that.
Wait. Is this for real? I lost power to my home because of a freakin' squirrel?
That is correct. 100% correct.
Around 3,000 customers had their power knocked out yesterday (Monday) morning. The reason? An actual squirrel was found roaming a substation, a place where a squirrel very much should not find itself.
The best part? The incident was listed as a "safety related" occurrence on Idaho Power's outage map, with no mention of the tiny, rabid beast causing all the commotion.
Luckily, by now, your power should absolutely be turned back on. If you're currently reading this via candlelight, contact Idaho Power.

Ya know, maybe the squirrels are messing around in the power station because they don't have anything better to do. Maybe, then, it's our job to make sure the little critters have fun activities to keep them enaged.
For example, a movie theatre specifically for squirrels. Seems like a good idea.

Hopefully, those pesky critters won't interfere with your kids getting to and from school. That is, since so many kids are now being transported via electric school busses.
Would you guess some parents were absolutely irate about that. Good guess!

Electricity: Good when it's being pumped into your house, scary as hell when it's crackling down from the sky. Here are some beautiful, yet terrifying, shots of a lightning storm in Boise.
Is it too much of a stretch to say these photos are electrifying?
