You know those t-shirts that say "Will Run for Wine?" Turns out one of the best races for wine lovers in the WORLD happens in Caldwell and Boise!

Runner's World Magazine just published an article titled "Bucket List: 10 Races For Wine Lovers."  According to the magazine, most wine races have been inspired by France's Marathon du Medoc where runners can grab a taste of vino at almost every mile throughout the race.  Most wine runs attract costumes, good times and of course an abundant number of free samples after the races.

This year's list includes wine runs from California, Florida, Oregon, Texas, New York and international races like British Columbia and France! Do you know which wine run was named the FOURTH best in the world?

The Idaho Wine Run!  The run has traditionally been held at Ste. Chapelle in Caldwell and attracts 2500 runners in the 5K/10K/Half Marathon.  Every finisher gets a wine themed medal and those of age can select an option to add a tasting glass to their registration.  About 15 local wineries participate in the post-race tasting fun and sell full bottles to runners who found the vino they loved.

The race is so popular that Final Kick Events now has THREE different Idaho Wine Runs! The next one, Idaho Wine Run Harvest, is being held at Julia Davis Park on August 27th! They'll hold Idaho Wine Run Bloom on April 22, 2017 at a location to be announced and Idaho Wine Run Summer Nights in the evening at Ste. Chapelle in July 2017.
