Before we vent and share the frustrations of Boise drivers all over the Treasure Valley, we do want to acknowledge that we appreciate the hard work that our construction workers put in. We get that and we appreciate what is done to keep our roads safe...

With that being said...

What in the world is going on with Five Mile Road?

Back in June, we shared with you how Five Mile Road had closed down so crews could work on a water main. Fast-forward to now and people are left scratching their heads wondering when the work will be done. One person on Reddit even shared how a sign typo nearly sent them over the edge:

Can we please talk about what a shit show the road work on Five Mile is?

Don't worry, the construction isn't going to last another eight years. But, we do have some good news and bad news.

First up the good newsaccording to Ada County, the work at Five Mile Rd. & Amity Rd. is supposed to be completed by August 17 along with the work at Five Mile & Hazel Park.

Now, for the bad news: Ada County shares that there are still a few more projects to be done on Five Mile before the end of the year. The next upcoming "lane restriction w/ flagging" will be on Five Mile from Wasdale St. to La Grange St. for "overhead work" starting August 22.

After that, we will see Five Mile with lane restrictions from Florence to Fairview starting September 12 all the way until October 6th. Another project we'll see on Five Mile is the intersection at Victory Rd which will see Five Mile completely close down from September 25th to October 14th... and people are frustrated:

Luckily for us, Ada County has an interactive map that you can check to keep track of all the construction going on in the Treasure Valley and you can do that here. We just wish we could see all of the traffic signs that go up with a typo in the Treasure Valley.

Boise Traffic Incident Captured on Video Goes Viral

On Friday, May 20th, a video was posted online from a busy Boise street. The video showed a totally insane incident which involved one woman stopping down traffic and straight up screaming at vehicles that she forcibly stopped.
We don't know the contest of this video--only that one individual captured it on film.

Check out this incident and see the full video for yourself, below:
