FINALLY. A new music Friday that brought out the heat!

Before anything else, I've got to show love to Nipsey Hussle who was tragically killed on March 31st. He shot the music video DJ Khaled's song "Higher" with John Legend just days before being shot in front of his Marathon Clothing store in LA. Khaled released the song and video with his new album Father of Asahd last night, and I've had it on repeat ever since. It's beautiful. Spin that on repeat, all proceeds will go to the late rapper's children.

Speaking of Khaled's album, it's AMAZING. The features? Don't get me started. He's got features from Cardi B, Chris Brown, Big Sean, SZA, Post Malone, Nas, 21 Savage, Future, and Lil Wayne. The 15 tracks also include the previously-released singles “Top Off” with Beyoncé and JAY-Z and “No Brainer” with Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper and Quavo. Cardi's verse on "Wish Wish" is one of the hardest of 2019, IMO.

Houston native Megan thee Stallion just released her debut studio album Fever after going viral with hit song "Big Ole Freak". One of my new favorite female rappers? Bet. My pick from the album is "Simon Says" featuring Juicy J.

Everyone's been talking about Tyler, The Creator and his highly anticipated album IGOR. His sixth solo album features Kanye West, Playboi Carti, Charlie Wilson and CeeLo Green.

We also got singles from Chance the Rapper, Amine, Halsey, GoldLink, Quavo, Skepta and London on Da Track x G-Eazy, City Girls and Juvenile.

This was the best week of new music of the year so far by far. Follow my new music picks via my Friday Faves playlist on Spotify below! Just search 'kitkatfisher' on Spotify.
