Oh crap, who would have thought that waste water would be the source of concern surrounding COVID-19 for some local medical professionals? It's a reality that we're facing right now and while I'm hoping that they're wrong--the science seems to be there.

As you can see from the tweet above, Dr. David Pate, former CEO of St. Luke's and well known voice here in the Treasure Valley is concerned that the uptick in COVID-19 presence in waste water is going to mean that a virus surge is coming...again.

It has been roughly two weeks since the Board of Health at Central District Health lifted the mask mandate for Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley counties. Nightlife is slowly returning to downtown Boise and the greater Treasure Valley along with the idea of in-person events.  But are we moving too soon?

According to health professionals, waste water sampling is a really good indicator of what is to come and the numbers within Central District Health have DOUBLED.

I've never been one for numbers, figures, or graphs however the City of Boise actually has a constantly updating dashboard where you can view the findings for yourself.

Check out those graphs, HERE.

Do you think another COVID surge could be coming? I hope it isn't....that would just be, crappy?
