Yesterday afternoon, I set out on a quest to find out exactly what the fascination with Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" is all about and one 103.5 KISS FM listener put it in terms I could understand!

I'll be honest I watched a little bit of shark week last night trying to figure out what all the hype was all about.  I made it 15 minutes into one of the specials and just couldn't stick with it, so I asked you guys what the hype was all about!

A listener called me and told me she doesn't watch any of it on TV either but is all about the drink and ice cream specials that come with Shark Week? Now that's my language!

Joe's Crab Shack supposedly runs a special on their "Shark Bite" cocktail during Shark Week.  It's made from Bacardi Limón Rum, Absolut Vodka, Bacardi 151 Rum, blue curacao, sweet & sour and a dangerous dose of grenadine according to the menu!  They're also running a #joessharkselfie promotion where you have the chance to win a $25 Joe's gift card for posing with the shark in store.  Want to get in to win?  The Joe's Crab Shack in the Treasure Valley is along the Greenbelt at 2288 N Garden St.

And that ice cream hook-up?  Cold Stone partners with Discovery Channel to bring you the Shark Week Frenzy special of blue sweet cream ice cream with graham cracker pie crust and gummy sharks. Or maybe you're more of a cupcake type of shark gal.  You can also grab yourself a Great Blue Cupcake, which is a chocolate cup filled with a layer of yellow cake, blue sweet cream ice cream, blue frosting and gummy sharks.  Grab yours in Meridian at 1400 N Eagle Rd #103 or in Nampa at 1238 Caldwell Blvd.

And last but not least, Dutch Bros is in on the Shark Week fun too! Check out their blended Shark Attack Rebel at Dutch Bros locations across the Treasure Valley.

I still can't get down with watching Shark Week, but now it's just a little bit sweeter to live through!
