This morning when I was surfing the Idaho Statesman's website I came across a headline that made me think, "Gee, I wonder if this part of Western PA just happens to be where I went to school."  You'll never believe what that headline was...

"Police seek Amish buggy in W. Pa. hit-and-run."  I was intrigued, so I clicked it.  Sure enough our Treasure Valley newspaper took me back to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.  1.1 square miles, just shy of 2,500 residents and home to my alma mater, Westminster College.

Pennsylvania State Police continue searching for an Amish buggy involved in a hit-and-run accident.  Now, you'd expect that the buggy was the one damaged and possibly the Honda CRV involved in the accident took out the family horse, right?  Try again.  According to the troopers from the local barracks, the buggy actually hit the Honda twice before taking off and nobody was hurt in the crash.

Now, when you hear Keke make fun of me for "growing up in an Amish town," you know it's true.  I spent four years at school in New Wilmington and stories like this were hard hitting news ::facepalm::
