Spotted A Utah License Plate In Idaho? Follow These Steps
Do not worry, we are professionals.
We've already laid out explicit actions to take when you encounter a Washington license plate in Idaho, as well as a California plate. This isn't our first rodeo, kid.
Ok. Enough blog bragging. Here's what you do.
When you do inevitably find yourself vehicle-to-vehicle in traffic with a car sporting a Utah license plate, first thing's first: Take a breath. You are going to be okay. There's no need to panic.
Are you composed? Good. Here's what to do:
- Do not throw rice at the vehicle in question. Contrary to popular belief, people from Utah do not particularly enjoy having rice tossed in their face. It's an old wives' tale.
- Do look for any Utah Jazz-related bumpers stickers. All Utah Jazz fans are known to challenge strangers to a dance battle at any moment. You've been warned.
- Don't yell out "Hey, y'all Mormon?" Sure, you're curious, but screaming out the window isn't the most delicate approach.
- Do wave, smile, and allow Utah drivers to merge in front of you in traffic. Failure to do so could result in instant spontaneous combustion. Again, you've been warned.
Not that you know the protocol, you're good to go! Next time you encounter a Utahian (Utahn? Utampian? Utarn?) vehicle here in the Gem State, you know the tricks, and you know what to do when that emergency situation rears its ugly head.
