Spring Football Becomes Reality for Idaho Vandals

I don't have to tell you that the year 2020 was a real "gong-show" to put it lightly.

But I will.

The year 2020 was a real gong-show.

Even though 2021 isn't looking to be TOO much more promising (then again, maybe I'm just being my typical pessimistic self), some football fans here in the Treasure Valley are going to have something to celebrate. Spring football is now a reality.

I grew up here in the Treasure Valley and if there is one thing that I have no problem admitting, it is that Idaho Vandals fans are probably the most passionate in the whole State of Idaho. Sure, everyone laughs that the Vandals don't win very much. It takes a very passionate fan to stick with them and the base of alumni and friends across the state are so loyal!  I've got nothing but respect for the Vandals!

A lot of people including our colleague here at 103.5 KISS FM, 'Big Chris', are really excited to hear that the Idaho Vandals will be having a football season after all!  While it will be short, six games will be played. Two of those games will be against Eastern Washington University, a pretty powerful program known for their bright red turf!  They will also play UC Davis, where former Boise State head coach Dan Hawkins now works.

February 27th: Eastern Washington University

March 6th University of California, Davis

March 13th, Northern Arizona University

March 27th Southern Utah

April 3rd Idaho State University

April 10th Eastern Washington University
