I'm not a parent, but I have a lot of friends and family members who are, so I've seen how expensive kids can be, and especially babies. They're constantly growing out of their clothes, shoes, diapers and car seats! Which is why it's so dope that Target is doing a car seat trade-in! Outside of it being environmentally friendly (I'm sure more car seats end up at the dump that you'd imagine) it helps families get their new ones. It starts today and runs for ten days.

Here's the details:

when & where

Get ready! Car seat trade-in returns to all Target stores September 3-13, 2019.

coupon & trade-in details

When you bring your car seat to Guest Services, you'll get a coupon for 20% off a new car seat, stroller or select baby gear. The coupon is valid through September 14, 2019.

Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target’s partner, Waste Management.

And some cool details to note from Target's website:

Target introduced its first car seat trade-in program in April 2016.

Since the program launched, Target has recycled half a million car seats, and counting.

To date, through trade-in programs, Target has recycled more than 11.9 million pounds of materials, and counting.

Reduce, reuse, recycle! You really do love to see it.
